GCSE and A-level exams

GCSE and A-level examination season:
Thursday 2 May - Wednesday 26 June 2024

  • GCSE and A-level examination season: Thursday 2 May - Wednesday 26 June 2024.
  • Speaking and practical exams are scheduled to take place before: Thursday 9 May.
  • National contingency dates: Thursday 6 June (pm), Thursday 13 June (pm) and Wednesday 26 June (all day) 2024.
    • All students taking external exams this year must be available on these dates as well as the dates of any timetabled exams.
  • All students completing external exams will be issued with a statement of entry listing the date of all exams they are expected to be entered for.
  • Individual final examination timetables containing exam start times, dates and locations will be issued before May.  Any clashes will be resolved and the alternative arrangements communicated to affected students before the examination timetable is issued.

Generic timetables for summer exams and revision sessions are available by clicking the links below:

Progress assessments and mock exams

All students in key stage 4 and Sixth Form will complete progress assessments and mock examinations during the academic year. We place a high value on these assessments, and the results will contribute towards the predicted grades provided by subject teachers in school reports and applications for further and higher education. Therefore, the dates are publicised as soon as possible, so parents and carers can support their son/daughter with their revision schedule and so they can be aware on what date to expect a school report.

In addition to these progress reports, Attitude to Learning reports will also be issued at the start of each half term.
