Student support

At Eckington School, safeguarding our students and providing high quality pastoral support is our highest priority. Each year group has a dedicated Head of Year and Pastoral Support Assistant. You can find out who they are on our student support teams page. Their role is to lead students’ personal development, support them to live happy and fulfilling lives, and to develop a moral compass and good character. Our pastoral teams manage behaviour issues and celebrate our students’ brilliant achievements both in and out of school.

Each student will have a Form Tutor with whom they will create an excellent relationship throughout their time at Eckington. The form tutors will be the first point of contact for parents and carers, if they have any concerns or questions.

Safeguarding the welfare and wellbeing of our students is essential. We have a dedicated team of staff who are always on hand to support students and parents with any safeguarding concerns. Our staff are highly trained in safeguarding to ensure that we can give the best care and support possible. Our staff will share the most up to date advice and support with parents regularly, ensuring that each child is happy and cared for both inside school and out in the wider world.
